If they arent going to give Horvat top 6 minutes they need to seriously rethink the direction of this team. This isnt a playoff team bringing along a young player. This a bad hockey team that should be developing their core young players and hope for the best.

I usually do always try to immediately follow up with some good hockey related banter to be fair, but I had to take a dump... So priorities I guess...

Any who, what should we talk about. Why Willy should quit now to save face, and his career?! The Sedin contracts have you guys by the short and curlies, and that's pretty much that. The best you can do is run a middling team until they're off the books and you can rebuild in earnest.

Believe me, I've gone through this with the Flames. Hell they tried this strategy (over paying ufa's) so often and still kept missing the playoffs I had to by a Hank jersey just so I had somebody to root for in the playoffs for Gods sake.

Until the Sedins are gone, you are stuck in hockey pergatory my friends, that's the honest truth...

I'll admit I wanted Etem to succeed. I was happy when we acquired him and I usually pick an underdog I hope to exceed expectations, he was my guy this year. Long term I expected his ceiling to realistically be 3rd line wing, so I am not bothered by his loss, but it stings a little that there were talented players on waivers that could have been had to replace him, especially knowing he wasnt going to make the team

So ole Willie D puts our third best scorer from last year on the fourth line because he didn't have a great camp? WTF is wrong with this guy? No wonder it took him so long to get an NHL job, he hasn't a clue what he's doing?

How does he expect Horvat to succeed with Dorsett and Burrows. Who cares if he has some defensive breakdowns, let the kid flourish offensively...I don't know why I continue to be a fan of this dysfunctional organization

It doesn't take a Canucks fan to realize that doesn't make sense (hense even the Habs and Flames fans commenting on it). Willie D continues to mess around with chemistry and line combos and it IS concerning.
